MIKE ARMENTA - GUITAR

Mike began his musical studies at the age of 11 at the School of Music. Later he moved to La Paz BCS where he continued his studies of Piano, Solfeggio and Musical Arrangement. At age of 16 years old formed “Hobby” band & they began playing original music. Years later, formed the band “Deja Vu” to play exclusively at the Hard Rock Cafe chain being the first statewide band to achieve that opportunity. In 1997 formed the band “Vitamin T” to play exclusively as a house band in Cabo Wabo where he had the opportunity to play with rock legends like: Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony, Chad Kroeger (Nickelback), Chad Smith (RHCP), Santana, Alice in Chains, Goo Goo Dolls, AC / DC ... and an infinity of other great musicians. This is where mike’s musical knowledge reached the most advanced level.

ARNOLDO HIRALES - KEYBOARDS

Originally from the city of La Paz B.C.S. “Jr” as we all know him, is our main composer and arranger of Proyecto Insomnio. At the age of 9 he started playing versatile music with the local group “Alta Tension Jrs”. At 17, he helps form the house band “Punta Kebrada” at the Las Varitas Bar. There he discovers the side of rock, blues, funk, trova, pop, and all his derivatives including the fusion! After a while Jr is part of the band D’Inztinto playing norteño music and where he begins to include its original compositions. In 2017 together with Mike Armenta formed Proyecto Insomnio.

NATALIE ARMENTA - Executive PRODUCER

Originally from San Francisco, Bay Area, her Administration began at the California Ear Institute at Stanford. That transitioned into Administration with a Law Firm in Silicon Valley specializing in Patent & Trademark Law for Intellectual Property. After meeting her husband, Miguel, her love of music expanded into Management and PR for his musical career, including processing immigration visas, bookings, PR, scheduling TV and Radio interviews, press conferences, travel and tour itinerary. Let’s put it this way, we could not have done it without her.

ROBERTO COTA (TIKI) - DRUMMER

Drummer / Composer
Originally from Guaymas Son. He was raised in La Paz B.C.S. He began his musical career at 10yrs of age in a self-taught way, he started his first musical group called “High Current Jrs” Alta Tension Jr, a versatile kinda group they play all genres, along with Arnoldo Hirales Romero as a singer and Keyboardist. At 17yrs old along with Arnoldo made the band “Broken Tip” Punta Kebrada at a local bar where they were the house band. In 2002 he moves to Tijuana in search for better opportunities were he was part of “Calor Norteño” and “Arrockteñado”.

NICOLAS V MANESCU - BASS

Nic started at a very early age of 8 yrs old, hiding from his parents his first teachers who introduce him to the bass were his uncles who used to rehearse in his house with his dad in a rock band. Later when he was about 13 yrs of age started his first ever band to play at social events all kinds of styles of music from rock to cumbias. Later in life he played on tours and recordings of big figures like Joel Solis (Bukis) Christian Castro, Pablo Montero and LiranRoll just to mention a few. He had the oportunitty to work alongside with famous producer Manuel Casares at his renowned music studio.

Francisco Maillo - Guitar

Lead Guitar Player / Bajo 5to
The Spaniard American started playing the Classical guitar at the age of 8. By the age of 10 the discovery of rock music, pushed him to pursuit the electric guitar. Distorted sounds and time effects took over for most of his early years in the underground metal scene in Caracas, Venezuela. In a hiatus with one of his projects, he moved to Spain where he took on the flamenco guitar path. Graduated from Berklee School Of Music, major in music production. After many years working in music production and stock music composition in San Diego and Los Angeles California, the guitarist moved to Texas and joined Proyecto Insomnio to soon be on a stage near you.
